Hi, I'm Sophie - an artist illustrator based in Cumbria. With over 10 years of experience in illustration since graduating from Loughborough University, I’ve worked across a wide range of creative projects in both busy design studios and remotely.

I currently work freelance from my home studio in a cosy corner of Cumbria, near the magical Lake District where I live with my husband, children, a pair of chattering guinea pigs, and some very curious cats. My passion lies in children’s and character design and I love turning imaginative worlds into illustrations, bringing quirky characters and faraway places to life through detailed, colourful artwork. I’m endlessly inspired by people, nature and the world around me and love the magic of storytelling, especially in children’s picture books. My aim is always to create work that sparks joy and curiosity in people of all ages.
