Another draft sketch for a spread of the lovely storybook ‘Our Kingdom of Blue’ by @emmasmallshawbooks. I really loved drawing these amazing creatures in their Arctic underwater world. Here’s some Narwhal facts I learnt along the way!

1) Their tusk is actually a tooth that can grow up to 3m long

2) They are one of three whales that live only in Arctic waters

3) They can live up to 100 years
